The USA Track & Field Championships start today and go through Aug. 3 at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, OR. Carter Morton from Jefferson and the U. of Northern Iowa competes today and tomorrow in the 10 event decathlon. It’s an opportunity for the 2020 Greene County High School graduate to measure himself against the best the United States has to offer, and something that’s rare for someone from here to qualify for. He goes into the competition with the eleventh highest decathlon score for an American in 2025.
