After a stellar year and career with the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs, senior Taitn Gray is off to bigger and better things as he has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. Gray, a switch hitting catcher and outfielder, prepares now for his next adventure, playing baseball at the professional level.

Gray, recognized for his leadership and selflessness on and off the field, played a pivotal role for the Mustang baseball program alongside fellow senior Tate Perrin. Head coach Curt Castenson of the Mustang baseball team reflected on Gray’s impacted on the Mustang baseball program.

“You can’t have a better two. We always called it the Taitn and Tate show kind of jokingly but their leadership, looking at the last three years they were huge roles in the success of our program.”

Gray now transitions from the high school world to the professional sphere as Taitn Gray has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Rays.
