The next show in the Meet Me in Minburn concert series will be held on Saturday, as an Iowa-musician will take the stage.

Minburn Community Betterment Group member Megan Cline invites children and adults to Meek Park for an evening of food, skating, and musical entertainment. She notes that the night will begin with a free-will donation meal of pork loin sandwiches and hot dogs provided by the Minburn Fire Department from 5:30-7pm.

Afterwards, Cline announces that Panora Native Kile Jackson will play music from 7-9pm to coincide with free outdoor skating in front of the stage. She expresses that people are welcome to bring their own skates, or that skates can be borrowed for free at the skate rack, next to the outdoor rink. Cline illustrates that the two previous concerts in June and July have been really well received.

“We’ve had a great turnout, regardless of the weather. We had Jake Kemble, another person from Panora, he plays such great rock and roll music and some really good tunes that everyone’s familiar with. Great musician, great soul person (and) we had well over 100 people. Now 4th of July, we had (the band) One 2 Go, they came from Nebraska. I could not get over the musical ability of these people, they had some great harmonies. We had well over 200 people there for that.”

Cline outlines that Saturday’s event will be free of charge to everyone. She reveals that there will be one final performance this summer on Thursday, August 14th featuring five students from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District.
