The Perry Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for an outdoor sporting activity that anyone can join in on.
According to Director Lynsi Pasutti, the 4th Annual Chamber Open Golf Outing is happening tomorrow at two different tee times of 9am and 1pm. She outlines that people form a team of four individuals then choose to either play nine holes, which cost $200 or 18 holes, which is $350. Pasutti mentions that the event will be a friendly competition, but there will be fun prizes given away, as she unveils the one she’s anticipating the most.
“My favorite prize is best-dressed. I love goofy golf shirts. It started one year where we had an extra prize, and on the spot coming up with something to give away. And so we’ve carried that forward and it’s been fun to see some people do that or maybe that’s their nature state, but we’ll have fun things like games and contests hosted by the sponsors and then little mini-fundraisers too, so the longest drive and closest to the pin.”
Pasutti confirms the golf outing is hosted by the Perry Chamber Foundation that ultimately gives back to the chamber of commerce for future events. She highlights that Backwards Boutique is handling the food, meaning that all golfers will have lunch included when they register. Pasutti encourages anyone, regardless of skill level, to take part in the event tomorrow at either tee time of 9am or 1pm. The event is happening at the Perry Golf and Country Club, 352 330th Street.
