Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Head Coach Lindsay Stanford reminisces on a special senior group, which included one of her daughters.

Tiger seniors Aniston Tollari, Madi James and Kennedy Stanford played their final game in an ADM uniform on July 24th, after nabbing third place at the state tournament for Class 4A. Head Coach Lindsay Stanford says that the three girls embraced the culture that she is establishing.

Lindsay emphasizes that some schools allow their players to participate in travel ball leagues, but Lindsay is adamant that girls properly develop in their program, and Kennedy, Tollari, and James have bought into that mindset. She indicates that the girls dedicate a lot of time to the sport behind the scenes, and have been awarded with five consecutive trips to the state tournament. Lindsay is so grateful to have had their leadership over the past four to five years.

“I mean I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve given to the program with their time, their dedication, and continuing to be leaders on and off the field. And so I think as much as it stinks to not have them in a softball uniform anymore, they’re ready to fly.”

Lindsay notes that the girls practice for clutch game-scenarios of getting a bunt down, or a key hit, which paid dividends this year, as ADM rallied from a one-run deficit in the bottom of the 7th inning in the Class 4A third place game versus North Scott to win 2-1. All three girls were apart of the track and field team for the Tigers, as Tollari and Kennedy will continue their careers in college.
