Now with the 2025 season over for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team, Head Coach Lindsay Stanford shares her appreciation for her partners in the dugout.

Stanford tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she has two great assistant coaches in Brooke Hickey and Britt Von Roden. She highlights that Hickey is a former player for ADM and Von Roden is the mother of Elliotte, who just completed her freshman year. 

Stanford enjoys hearing Hickey’s standpoint with her being so knowledgeable, and she refers to Von Roden as her “sounding board” that will talk through stressful situations. Stanford knows how special it is to have them by her side.

“Those two women, I owe the world to them. On the hard days, they help you through it. On the good days, they’re right there, but I think the three of us just have chemistry that just works and if one person needs to go handle a situation, like everybody jumps in. Brooke and Britt, they have full reign to take charge in any situation and I have all the most respect for them, and they make my job easy.”

Stanford credits both of them for the team’s success that was had this year, seeing the Tigers grab third place for Class 4A, as they made their fifth straight state tournament appearance.
