As family week, also known as ‘dead weak’ concluded on Sunday, the Mustang football team is already off and running as the DCG High School football camp began today, Monday, August 4th. Head coach Scott Heitland and the Mustang boys took the field early this morning
The Mustang football camp is for students entering freshman through senior year and will be held through August 8th. With only four Friday’s left until the 2025 football season officially begins, coach Heitland looks to lean on his returners and upperclassmen to help the incoming freshmen adjust to the change of intensity for high school football action.
The Mustangs have their first taste of unofficial action on August 22nd with a scrimmage scheduled against Des Moines East at home before officially beginning the season on August 29th against the Urbandale J-Hawks at Urbandale High School.
