The Iowa State Fair is coming up, and many are preparing for it.
Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that she has spent the first part of the week taking static exhibits from Greenfield to the Iowa State Fair Grounds. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that those interested in attending the Iowa State Fair should do so, as it helps those participating.
“We do have several communications and award-draw members participating at the state fair this year. And that’s along with our 4-H and FFA livestock and horticulture exhibitors. So be sure to go up, check out Adair County Youth, and see all the amazing things that they’re doing up there at the Iowa State Fair this year.”
Savage mentions that the Iowa State Fair is from August 7th to 17th, with exhibitors to participate over multiple days. She adds that for those who are maybe attending for the first time, check out the exhibit building, as there are nearly 5,000 different projects that are on display throughout the building.
