Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Activities Director Rod Wiebers expresses his gratitude for the amazing individuals he works alongside to help students achieve their goals.
Wiebers confirms that there aren’t any new coaches that have joined ADM this year, but he does emphasize that the individuals who have been over the past year or number of years are instrumental in shaping the athletics department for the Tigers.
Wiebers highlights that new additions of Danielle Craig, who leads girls basketball, and Rachel Harada, the head coach of the girls soccer team, have stepped right in to their new roles, both taking their programs to the next level, as the girls basketball team won 15 games, and the girls soccer team went to the state tournament. He says that each coach creates a positive environment for their athletes.
“Our coaches, in every activity, are always focused on what can they do to provide the best experience for our kids. And they’re relentless in their efforts and how they work, and how they take care of kids within their programs, but also just setting high expectations.”
Wiebers shares that the coaches hold a nice balance between healthy competition and compassion for athletes. He knows that the kids are learning how to be leaders on and off the field.
