A Bayard man was recently arrested for allegedly stalking another individual in Jefferson.

According to court documents, Jefferson Police Officers responded to a call about a victim who had a no contact order against 62-year-old Neal Schoon, for allegedly violating that order. Court documents show that Schoon has tried multiple times to make contact with the victim since January 30th. Since the no contact order was issued on February 4th, court documents state that Schoon has been charged with nine simple misdemeanors for a no contact order violation and an additional simple misdemeanor for third degree harassment.

The criminal complaint further alleges the Schoon has left multiple voicemails, reached out to the victim on Facebook, left packages at the victim’s residence, and knocked on the door and window when the victim was home.

Court documents state that after the July 11th incident, an arrest warrant was issued on July 15th and Schoon was arrested on July 16th charged with a Class C Felony for stalking-violation of a protective order. He was booked into the Greene County Jail where he remains under a $10,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
