The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.
The Board heard from Human Resources Director Jaimie Lindsay, who shared her quarterly reports from the first and second quarter, along with what has happened so far in the third quarter. They then approved the June quarterly report from Veteran Affairs Coordinator Beth Watson, and heard an updated plan for work on P28.
The Board also approved publishing the notification of a resolution to make emergency medical services an essential service in a 4-1 vote, with Supervisors Mike Dickson as the lone no vote. Dickson had shared that there are some other options to try besides the Board’s previous attempt, and wanted them to investigate them. Supervisor Brian Johnson shared he had attended a Guthrie County First Responders meeting, and mentioned that they were looking for a Supervisor to join their governing board, and volunteered to take that spot. The rest of the Board approved the motion to do so.
