The repaving project on a portion of Highway 30 in Boone County continues to develop.
Jefferson Resident Construction Engineer with DOT Jenny Hoskins says the repaving project from the four lane of Highway 30 merger near the Ogden exit to the Boone and Greene County line is steadily moving along, but had a minor setback. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio a motorist drove up to the paving operation and went into the wet concrete. Hoskins notes that about 1,500 feet of one of the lanes had to be removed and was replaced last week.
Hoskins points out the contractor, Manatt’s, installed the additional left turn lane for eastbound traffic at the intersection of Highways 30 and 169. She states that the offset right turn lane and paving on Highway 169 still needs to be completed.
Hoskins adds that the completion timeline has been pushed back to Labor Day weekend.
