This three part series will dive into the Perry football regular season.  Part two features the middle three games.

This part of the schedule will begin District play, but first Perry finishes non-district competition with Des Moines North.

The Bluejays travel to Mediacom Stadium for a rare Thursday night game against the Polarbears on September 18.  North is coming off an 0-9 season and competes in 4A.  This will be the second straight season Perry will play at Mediacom, but the first against DMN.

District play opens with Greene County coming to Perry week five.  The Battle for the Cowbell is one of the oldest rivalries in the state and the Bluejays host it for a second straight year.  This week will also be Homecoming for Perry.  The Rams were bumped from 2A to 3A for 2025.  Last year, Greene County won the rivalry game 36-7 and used the momentum to make the second round of the playoffs while going 5-5.

The Bluejays share a district with Atlantic for a third straight year.  Perry suffered a 35-14 loss to Atlantic last year at Dewey Field.  Week six will be the longest road trip for the Bluejays with the trip to the Trojan bowl.  The 21 point defeat was the closest District game for Perry in 2024.  The Trojans missed the playoffs despite going 6-4 last season.

Part three will be tomorrow looking at games seven through nine.
