Bellah Johnson

Bellah Johnson is a returning regular on the Greene County High School volleyball team. The junior back row player is among the returnees head coach Chris Heisterkamp will be looking to this season to help the Rams have a winning season after just missing that goal a season ago.

Johnson talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about what it will take to win more sets and matches than in 2024. “I think it’s a mindset and I think we have it. We have it! our motto this year is Next Level, so our mindset is on getting to the next level. We’re asking ourselves, ‘Are we better, are we better?'”

She has more than one kind of serve and the score of the set when she’s at the service line might determine which type of serve the opposition sees. “It kind of depends on my confidence in that game. If we are in a close game, I just do it and serve float, but if it’s a game where we’re ahead a little bit, I’ll probably add some topspin to it.”

The Rams had camp the first part of this week at the high school in Jefferson. Official practice begins on Monday, Aug. 11.
