Guthrie County Hospital announced recently that they received loan approval from the United States Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Development.
GCH states that this means the hospital now has access to affordable long-term financing to complete renovation and expansion plans. Goals for the expansion and renovation project include modernizing the overall look of the hospital, empowering medical staff to efficiently deliver the highest quality care, improving physical flow of patient and visitor traffic inside the hospital, and much more. According to GCH Chief Executive Officer Chris Stipe, if everything falls into place, the groundbreaking for the project could happen in October. The hospital also plans to hold town hall meetings around the county to share more information on the project, with dates, times and locations to be determined.
