The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday night.

The Council will consider for approval a proposal to purchase the eastern half of North Ninth Street between North Fremont and North Main Streets, along with a renewal of a development agreement with Saints Center LLC, then hold a public hearing on the sale of 611 North Gaines Street to Los Altos Properties, LLC. The Council will then consider for approval a general obligation loan agreement for $475,000, set a public hearing on the Urban Renewal Plan Amendment, and set a public hearing for a development agreement with Duncan Construction LLC.

The Council will also consider for approval terminating two development agreements, one with Bonnie and Clyde Hideout, LLC and the other with Central Iowa Collision, LLC, along with part-time wages for Stuart Rescue. Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk will then present on three topics for consideration for approval by the Council, including a request to place a camera at The Stuart Depot by Steele Highway Railcam, a Community Catalyst Remediation Grant agreement for Duncan Construction, LLC, and a residential blight housing remediation program.

The Council will then consider for approval an information technologies upgrade, an ordinance on the sale of alcohol and tobacco within a certain distance of educational establishments, and a reappointment to the Stuart Municipal Utilities Board.
