A Churdan man was recently arrested for allegedly attempting to sell drugs.

According to court documents, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office was notified by two US District Court Probation Officers that they noticed suspected methamphetamine during a probation check at the home of 57-year-old Jay Orsack. When the Sheriff and Deputies arrived on scene, they were given permission to enter the home and discovered the suspected methamphetamine and that there appeared to be more than an amount for personal use.

The items tested positive for methamphetamine and based on Orsack’s text thread on his cell phone that was recovered from the search and the baggies had indicated the selling of the drug, Orsack was arrested and charged with a Class B Felony for a controlled substance violation and a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
