
The Iowa State Fair is an annual celebration to show off each of the 99 counties best qualities, and Dallas County represented well.
In the 4-H Livestock and Horticulture categories, Kennedy Cheney was named the Ranch Horse Walk/Trot Senior Champion. For the FFA Breeding Beef portion, Addison Siedelmann from Adel was the Reserve Champion in the Cow/Calf category.
Other top finishes included Adel’s Iris Spargo getting first in the Fine Art Junior Division, and David Cronk from Perry had several top finishes in the Heritage category. He was first in the Slag or Milk Glass, the Set of Doll Dishes, the Bracelet or Brooch, in the Other Metals, in the Worthy Collection, in the Coffee Grinder, and in Stoneware. There were also 15 individuals from Dallas County that received blue ribbons.
