At the last few Guthrie County Board of Supervisors meetings, discussions on a road project have been covered.
Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern says that the project is to take place on County Road P28 next construction season. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why the work needs to be done.
“There’s some areas where when it was originally done in construction ended up just being a little thinner than anticipated and some of those areas are showing some failure. So we do need to address those and we have some funding in place and so we need to get the details hammered out and finalized in that.”
Sebern mentions that the primary focus for the project will be to fix some ride quality issues on the stretch of P28 from Stuart north to Monteith Road. He adds that there will also be work done from Monteith Road north to Panora where the majority of the thin areas are in the road.
