Head coach Greg Thompson of the Panorama Panthers cross country teams loaded up both teams and traveled to Ledges State Park last week. Coach Thompson tries to leave the area during practices to give his runners more experience on different terrains before the cross country season begins.
“One of the things we try to do at least twice a month is get away from the school for practice. Being so close to Springbrook, we use that a lot, but we wanted to do something different.”
Although it did rain at Ledges during the Panther practice, coach Thompson shared that the team was not deterred.
“They had a blast. They were already wet from the rain. They were already a little sweaty from working out. As soon as we got back in to head home, I heard quite a few athletes say ‘that was the best practice we’ve had all year.”
