The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship released their most recent crop report earlier this week.

The report shares that there were 4.7 days suitable for fieldwork during the previous week. Topsoil moisture conditions were rated zero percent very short, two percent short, 68 percent adequate and 30 percent surplus. The report also shared that 96 percent of Iowa’s corn has reached the silking stage, one day ahead of last year’s pace and the five year average.
