The Perry City Council will meet in regular session on Monday.

The council will hold a public hearing on the proposed expansion of the Perry Urban Renewal Area. Also, the council will have a second and possible third reading for an ordinance to amend the code of ordinances for chapter 116 relating to the Municipal Airport, and a first then possible second and third reading for an ordinance providing for the division of taxes levied on taxable property for the Urban Renewal Area.

Items on the agenda seeking approval include a resolution to declare necessity and establish an urban renewal area pursuant to section 403.4, a resolution to accept a local match and submission of a RISE Grant Application, then two pay applications for the Runway 14/32 Relocation phases two and three, and a pay application for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements.

Other items on the agenda up for consideration feature resolutions setting a date of meeting at which it is proposed to approve a development agreement with A.D.R. Axles U.S.A., JBS Prepared Foods Incorporated, and M and R Properties Iowa, LLC for tax increment payments, and fixing a time and place for a nuisance abatement hearing.

The meeting is happening inside the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building, 1102 Willis Avenue, in Perry Monday at 6pm.
