With the football season opener for the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs being just two weeks away, Wyatt Valenta returns to the grid iron for his junior season with the Mustang football squad. Valenta found success last season with Dallas Center-Grimes, playing on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and line backer.

On offense last season, Valenta would be the leading wide receiver with the most receptions and yards. Valenta would average 9.8 yards per catch with 47 receptions and 460 total yards. On defense, Valenta had the third highest total tackles on the team with 36.5 with 32 solo tackles and four tackles for a loss.

The Mustangs are at home on Friday playing host to the Des Moines East Scarlets for a scrimmage at home. The scrimmage is set to begin at 6:30pm.
