Giant inflatable brain and heart that individuals could walk through
Guthrie County Public Health is holding Back to School Health Fairs at local schools this week.
Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber says that they have already been to West Central Valley, and will be holding two more in Guthrie County. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that students can get dental checks, along with haircuts, physicals, and any shots that they may need.
“So if you want your child to get caught up on immunizations, or just want to have us take a look and see if they are, we’re able to do that for you there and provide that. We’ll have free food. So you can come and get a hot dog. You can come and get some chips, a drink, obviously a healthy hot dog. We are the health department.”
Arber mentions that these services are free to those who come in to take advantage of the health fair. He adds that they also have two giant inflatables, a brain and a heart, for individuals to walk around and through, and see different parts of those organs. The health fair tomorrow will be at Panorama High School, while the one Wednesday will be at Guthrie Center Elementary.
