A Jefferson man was recently arrested for alleged domestic abuse.

According to court documents, on August 14th a Jefferson Police Officer was told by the alleged victim that 57-year-old Anthony Nunez had physically violated her and pulled her mouth apart because he believed she had a recording device hidden on her and that Nunez thought she was having an affair. When Nunez was later questioned by the officer, he claimed the victim was having an affair or was worshiping the devil. He also admitted to physically violating her but claimed that the victim gave him permission to do so. 

Nunez was then arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault. He was booked into the Greene County Jail where he remains under a $5,000 cash or surety bond, and a no contact order with the victim was issued.
