Greene County had its first full contact high school football practice on Saturday. Head coach Caden Duncan and his coaching staff had seen his team go from helmets as the only equipment at the start of the week, then shoulder pads midweek before full pads and full contact on Saturday.

The Rams are preparing for the 2025 season opener in Boone on Friday, Aug. 29 vs. the Toreadors at 7 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Part of that preparation is a scrimmage this Friday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. in Panora vs. Panorama’s Panthers. The scrimmage will be full contact with registered officials, but there will be some modifications from what a regular season game will look like.
