First year Paton-Churdan head volleyball coach Nikki Uebel has two seniors, five juniors, a sophomore, and one freshman among the varsity players listed on the Bound Iowa website.

Most have varsity experience and that includes junior Kaliyah Minnihan, who talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about serving. “What I use depends on what I’m trying to do. If I’m trying to get a shorter ball just across the net I’m going to go for a dive ball. If I’m trying to get it to one of the corners I’m going to have it be a float to a corner and not have that be a jump serve, just be a stand.”

The Rockets open the 2025 at home in Churdan on Tuesday, Aug. 26 vs. non-conference opponent Collins-Maxwell.
