With changes occurring at Dallas Center-Grimes High School, Mustang boys golf have made the jump to 4A, moving the boys golf season to the fall instead of the spring. Activities Director for the Mustangs Madison Melchert reflected on this change in schedule, and believes it is the best option for all DCG Golfers.

“Boys golf moving to the fall is honestly one of the best things I could happen for a golfer because our kids are able to golf all summer long and come right into what usually is great weather. It’s a heck of a lot better than it can be in the spring with all the different elements that you’re facing.”

Mustang boys golf had their first meet of the season on Monday at the Briarwood Club of Ankeny and return to action on Wednesday against Norwalk at the Willow Creek Golf Course.
