Perry swimming has sent at least one girl to state the last five years.  They hope to do the same this November.  The Jayettes like to use music to help them get ready for a race.

Junior Cali Hernandez tries to get into the right head space.

We all listen to music on a speaker but I usually just drown out the noise.  I usually just talk to myself before a race.”

Fellow junior, Aleah Karolus wants the speaker to play something to raise her heart beat.

Anything exciting. I like rap.  I like rock.  Like something to get the heart rate going a little bit.”

The Jayettes begin the year at the McCreary Center against Algona on August 28.
