Perry football is coming off a 2-7 season in 2024.  Practice continues as preparation for the first game is on August 29.

The Perry offense averaged 12.4 ppg.  Josh Vannornam must find a new signal caller after the graduation of Geren Kenney.  Kenney is a huge loss as he led the team in passing and rushing yards.  He accounted for a team high 11 TD’s.

The cupboard isn’t completely bare.  Perry returns Nadir Ouahbi, who as a sophomore rushed for 217 yards.  The Bluejays also return their top two receivers Gustavo Drahos and Owen Zander.  Jacobo Cerna-Gomez is back after being used in a hybrid role rushing and receiving.

Three starters from the offensive line return.  Senior Jorden Newhouse, junior Ricky Muro, and junior Jonathan Gomez will look to anchor the offensive side of the ball.

The Bluejays travel to Nodaway Valley on Friday for a scrimmage.
