The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball Team has their sights set high, with nine of the 12-player roster occupied by upperclassmen.

On the varsity lineup, the Tigers have Freshman Addi Schultz, two sophomores of Ella Subbert and Ellsyn Livingston, a junior of Grace Welch, and then eight seniors. ADM graduated five seniors from the 2024 team, as they went 19-8 overall (8-0 inside the Raccoon River Conference), losing to Glenwood in four sets in the Class 3A Region 7 Championship match. Senior Macy Person praises them for being great leaders.

“I think just like including everyone, and making it a fun atmosphere. I think that they showed that it could be really fun and focused at the same time, so I think just having that high energy that they had.”

Senior Anna Holloway highlights that ADM has lively girls on this year’s team.

“I feel like we’re loud (and) we’re high energy, but it’s honestly something we’re picking up. I mean as seniors, we have to be loud and be the leaders on the court, so we’re working at it.”

The rest of the seniors feature Elise Coghlan, Kendra Smith, Josie Steinkamp, Graci Stumbo, Hayden Dennis, and Paige Krantz. Head Coach is Trevor Irwin, with assistants Alisha Rusch, Charity Miller, and Ellie Roquet. The Tigers have a scrimmage at Johnston on Saturday, before opening the year in a quadrangular in Adel next Thursday, August 28th.
