Competing in the senior division, Scarlett Putney of the West Central Valley Dance team competed at the Bill Riley Talent Search at the Iowa State Fair last week. Putney, would find success, battling the heat and the elements to finish the talent search as a finalist.

Putney, a member of the West Central Valley Dance team, faced off against some fierce competition and high temperatures, but her efforts would pay off as Putney would win a $500 cash price as a finalist.

Wasting no time, the Wildcat dance team went right back to work, learning a new Contemporary Choreography routine during practice on Tuesday.
