To kick off the boys fall golf season officially, the Mustangs traveled to the Briarwood Club of Ankeny for the Ankeny Centennial Jesse Peck Invite. Chase Perrin would find success during the season opener, and lead the Mustang golf team with a score of 70 strokes.

Just one stroke short of finishing in first place in individual play, Perrin would finish the night shooting for 70 strokes, tying for second place as a sophomore. Avery Van Zelderen would find success as well, wrapping up the Jesse Peck Invite in sixth place with a score of 74 strokes, while Gavin Drake and Drake Jordan would finish in ninth and tenth place respectively with scores of 76 and 77 strokes.

Results from the Mustang golf meet against the Norwalk Warriors on Wednesday will be posted as they are received. DCG boys golf returns to action on Wednesday next week, for the Johnston Invitational.
