Perry football is just one week from the season opener against Ogden.  The Bluejays are coming off a 2-7 season in year one for Head Coach Josh Vannornam.

The second year coach is trying to build a program and understands that can take time.

“As long as we can go out to every single game and compete and stay in it.  (Have) High effort, high energy.  That’s obviously from a culture perspective and that’s like something within the kids that they need to learn to do on themselves and I want to become an elite program and I think the kids know that.  We talk about all the time it’s just elite programs players hold each other accountable and coaches don’t do that for them so we talk about that a lot as a goal.  How can we learn to keep each other accountable.”

The Bluejays begin the season with a non-district game one week from today in Ogden.
