With boys golf now in the fall, Dallas Center-Grimes boys golf picked up their first victory of the season after traveling to Willow Creek golf course on Wednesday to face off against the Norwalk Warriors. The Mustangs would pick up a 276-283 victory over the Warriors, with three Mustangs claiming the top three positions on the leaderboard.

Junior Avery Van Zelderen would find the most success placing first with a score of 67 strokes, shooting four under par. Drake Jordan would follow in second with a score of 68 strokes, with Gavin Drake just behind Jordan with a score of 69 strokes. The three juniors would lead the pack for DCG, with sophomore Chase Perrin coming in seventh with a score of 72 strokes, just one over par.

Mustang golf returns to action next week as the Mustangs travel to Jester Park Golf Course on Wednesday for the Johnston Invitational.
