The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Cross Country Team are seeded within the top-10 for Class 3A heading into the 2025 season.
The Iowa Association of Track Coaches have released their pre-season rankings, and the Tigers sit in 8th out of 15 teams. The top three teams are Gilbert, Pella, and Grinnell, as ADM marked a ninth place finish at the state meet in Fort Dodge last year. Head Coach Josh Chapman says each year he stresses a different message to the group of runners, with this year revolving around “Take No Talent,” or what he coined “TNT.”
“This year it’s going to be a lot of that communication of the little things. It’s what you’re eating, it’s how much sleep you’re getting. Are you on top of your school work? Taking care of all the little things that can allow you to focus on the race that your mind is not somewhere else and that your body is in prime shape and ready to compete.”
Chapman is looking to have great senior leadership with the likes of Ty Landphair and Robbie Hall in front of the charge. The first meet for ADM is a week from tomorrow, next Saturday, August 30th at Johnston High School.
