The Adel City Council will meet in regular session on Monday.
The council is planning to hold interviews with four potential candidates to fill a vacancy after former council member Rob Christensen announced his resignation this past June. The candidates up for consideration features Williams Oldes, Eric Trout, Nate Hawkins, and John Sparling. The board will then seek to approve a resolution to fill the vacancy by appointment, followed by an Oath of Office that will be administered by Adel Mayor Jim Peters.
Other items on the agenda seeking approval include appointing a member to the Library Board, paying $4,108.56 to the City of Audubon for related contract costs for the City of Adel Police Office candidate, a resolution to accept the City Administrator Recruitment Agreement with Theia Management Consulting, and possible action to move all the regular city council meetings to the Adel Library Community Room, beginning in January of 2026.
The meeting is open to the public and is taking place at Adel City Hall, 301 S. 10th Street, Monday evening at 6pm.
