Josh Vannornam has been the head coach for Perry football for 14 months. He was hired late last summer and quickly had to prepare for his first season. The Bluejays went 2-7 in his first year and now with an entire offseason to work with the athletes he feels more prepared.
“Super well organizer during camp from gear hand out to coaches being prepared for practice and them ready to rock and roll. Kids are just excited for the culture shift and just the kids. Year one to year two a tremendous change in a positive way, good way. Due to kids having time to prepare, having systems in place and having standards, having handbooks all over the simple things that kids, people don’t think about.”
Next up for Perry is their first opponent Ogden. The Bluejays and Bulldogs meet after Perry won 23-6 last season. KDLS will have the broadcast this Friday at 7P.
