Greene County head football coach Caden Duncan saw his varsity play two-20 minutes continuous clock halves on Friday night vs. Panorama in Panora. The coach told Raccoon Valley Radio he thought the focus level and execution level were not where they need to be at the start. “Then we talked about E + R=O (Event + Response=Outcome) and responded the way we needed to.” The Rams did not score in the first 20 minutes, but scored three times in the second 20 minutes. The Panthers scored their lone touchdown in their second possession of the night. The Rams were called for six penalties, most in the first 20 minutes.
The Greene County touchdowns were scored on an 80 yard run by quarterback Zack Stalder, and TD passes from Stalder to Lincoln Schwander covering 12 yards, plus a 22 yard strike to Broc Stream.
The Rams open the regular season on Friday, Aug. 29 in Boone vs. the Toreadors at 7 p.m. All Greene County football games will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
