The Stuart City Council will meet in special session Monday night.
The Council will start with a closed session to discuss pending litigation with counsel. After the closed session is over, they will consider for approval a resolution authorizing the use of a preliminary statement for the marketing of the general obligation annual appropriation bonds, and discuss the funding for the Stuart police, fire, and rescue departments with City Financial Advisor Chip Schultz of Northland Securities. The meeting will finish with the Council to consider for approval new hires as a wastewater operator and street laborer in the public works department, and discussion on the Saints Center.
The meeting will begin at 5:30pm in Council Chambers at Stuart City Hall. For those unable to attend in person, there will be a digital option via the city’s YouTube page.
