Week one of the high school football season has arrived.  This Friday night the Perry Bluejays travel to Ogden to take on the Bulldogs on 94.3, 99.7, and AM 1310 KDLS.

This will be the fifth straight year for these two clubs to square off.  The Bluejays took the win 23-6 last year.  Perry will be without the services of Geren Kenney, who scored twice on rushing touchdowns each equaling 67 yards.  Before last year, Ogden won three straight.

The Bulldogs went 2-7 in 2024.  They return their starting quarterback Ceejay Jones, who passed for over 1700 yards.  Cayden Dudley returns to the backfield after nearly 500 yards on the ground as a junior.  Tyler Lass, Jones’ favorite target, had over 500 receiving yards as a freshman and is poised for another big year.

Josh Vannornam’s defense will be tested in week one against an offense that returns nearly all their starters.  The Bluejays appear to be run focused this year with the growth of Nadir Ouahbi.  Look for the junior to be a bell cow.
