The AC/GC Chargers football team begins their season tonight.

The Chargers host the Panorama Panthers for game one of the season. The Chargers lead the series 4-3 since whole grade sharing began in 2016, with the Panthers leading the overall series 9-4 going back to 2008. Last year the Chargers took the game 42-11 at Panorama, though only one statistical leader from the game returns this year. Linebacker Brexton Schneider led the team in total tackles with 7.5 tackles, and three tackles for a loss of yard. The Panthers also only have one statistical leader from the game returning, with quarterback Gavin Lindstrom having completed seven of nine passes for 90 yards and the team’s sole touchdown.

Both teams will be looking to get the season started off right with a win before the long weekend and the Guthrie County Fair. Game start is at 7:30pm, with pregame coverage by Raccoon Valley Radio to begin at 7pm. The game will be broadcast live on 107.9FM and the KKRF online live stream.
