The Dallas County New Opportunities Office in Perry held the 2025 Backpack Drive, bringing in over $1,200.
According to Dallas County Outreach Coordinator Beth Morman, the organization raised $1,270 from donations, but she confirms that the money doesn’t include the generous amount of school supplies gathered in the collection boxes. In total, Morman highlights that New Opportunities helped 63 students in the Perry Community School District.
Morman is extremely thankful to have such a great community that is willing to donate in any way they can in order to help families in need. She details that New Opportunities loves sending kids to school with the materials they need for the year and is one of the largest years that they have seen.
