With Labor Day coming up on Monday, there will be several closures throughout the communities of Perry and Adel, as well as Dallas County.

According to City of Perry Marketing and Engagement Coordinator Chris Cohea, City Hall, the Water Works Office, the Perry Public Library, and the McCreary Community Building will all be closed in observance of the holiday. However, individuals can still use the 24-Hour Fitness Room at the McCreary Community Building. 

Cohea notes that the Perry City Council meeting will be moved to Tuesday at 6pm inside the Security Bank Building, and garbage routes will be delayed by one day.

In addition, for the community of Adel, City Hall, the Parks and Recreation Department, and the Adel PublIc Library will be closed. As for Dallas County operations, County Courthouse, and the Dallas County Iowa State University Extension Office will not be open on Monday.
