Lily Myers started 2025 with a 4th place finish in the Southeast Valley Invitational in Gowrie Thursday night.  On the boy’s side, the Bluejays scored 6th place as a squad.

Myers finished with a time of 20:50.84.  The Bluejays were led by Ivan Willet in 18th place (19:25.79) and Edward Steil in 21st (19:43.04).

Coach Nathan Krohn is happy with the first meet of the season.

“Almost everyone achieved a goal in one form or another and we had several athletes improve on their times from last year by a minute or more. Lots of great things out of our freshmen who earned us that 6th place finish.”

East Sac County claimed the boy’s title while Madrid won the girl’s crown.

Next Tuesday, Perry will return to the course for a meet at Jester Park hosted by Woodward-Granger.  Nine schools are scheduled to attend.
