It’s Greene County at Boone tonight in season opening non-district high school football. The Rams were 5-5 last season and won a first round Class 2A playoff game while the Toreadors went 4-5 for the most wins they’ve had in the last six seasons. Greene County moves up to 3A this year while Boone remains at 4A program.

Junior Zach Stalder gets his first start at quarterback tonight for the Rams. Head coach Caden Duncan told Raccoon Valley Radio Stalder has a strong arm, is a really good athlete, and has a good head on his shoulders.

The projected lineup for the Rams is split pretty evenly between seniors and juniors on offense, but more juniors and one sophomore could see playing time defensively.
