Paton-Churdan fell to 1-1 on the young volleyball season with a loss in four sets on Thursday in Storm Lake vs. St. Mary’s. The Panthers lost set one by a 21-25 score, then won 25-17, 25-22, 25-21. St. Mary’s was 1-19 a season ago, so at 1-1 on the season they’ve already equaled the win total from 2024.

First year head coach Nikki Uebel told Raccoon Valley Radio the Rockets battled hard, but had a lot of errors.”We really didn’t play our best, so it’s disappointing. We missed 10 serves and had several hitting errors into the net and out of bounds. We played well at times and I’m still really optimistic. We earned a lot tonight and are looking forward to making a few adjustments.”
