A project that happened over the summer was completed ahead of the start of the school year with the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Districts.

AC/GC Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that a roof project for the AC Elementary and AC/GC Junior High building was completed, and there were a couple items for the AC School Board to approve at the August school board meeting in relation to the project. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that one was how to get rid of the old roof rock.

“The obsolete equipment or roof rock, we just have what came off the roof. A pretty large pile of rock that we’re going to go ahead and (give for) free will donation, and first come first serve. We’re going to go ahead and get rid of our roof rock.”

Rasmussen mentions that the other item was the first pay application to McInnis Roofing for $263,000. He adds that the roof rock is by the AC Elementary building, and that those interested can come and pick it up.
