The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Cross Country Teams participated in their first race of the 2025 season on Saturday over in Johnston, where the boys garnered a top-five finish and the girls nabbed inside the top-10.
The Tigers boys placed third and the girls captured ninth, both out of a field of 11 teams. On the boys side, six runners earned personal records in the 5K (3.1 miles), including junior Ty Miller, who was ninth overall at 16:25 (16 minutes and 25 seconds), followed by senior Ty Landphair coming in at 15th overall with a time of 16:58, then it was sophomore Jack Leistikow at 18:03, senior Owen Royer at 18:12, sophomore Will Truitt at 20:45, and sophomore Isaac Schrock at 22:56.
Individually, for the girls, sophomore Elliotte Von Roden led the way with an overall place of 26th and a time of 20:37, while junior Allie Eggleston was 33rd at 20:50 and senior Ella Popp (46th) came in with a time of 21:53.
