Perry Volleyball is set to begin week three of practice. The Jayettes have yet to take the court for their first competition of the season. The extra time of practice has allowed Head Coach Tina Lutterman more time to work with her club.
“You can’t return a play until you can return a serve so we work on that everyday and that is one of our keys that we have been working on consistency as well as we want to improve our blocking and trying to protect our back row a little bit and be more offensive team rather than reacting and defending all the time.”
Most teams in the state have already competed in numerous matches. The Jayettes will see their first opponent on Saturday, September 6 at the SCC Early Bird Tourney. Until then, Coach Lutterman will continue to work with her squad on improving each day.
